Eye Infection

How was your weekend? I bet, most of you went shopping last weekend. I was scheduled to do the same. The husband, however, caught an eye infection. That’s why we just had to stay at home.

I was thinking that what he got was merely a sty. I told him to just relax and wait for it to take its natural course. It will get swollen but will dry up soon. Yesterday afternoon, however, the inflammation was so bad. Good thing he agreed to have his eye checked in the hospital.

I learned that such a case should be given prompt and appropriate medical attention. Any infection in that area would eventually affect the brain. It was explained that there’s a direct connection from the eye to the brain. I hope he gets well soon.

iPhone or N96 ?

Yipee! Even after the wedding expenses, the husband allowed me to buy a Christmas gift for myself. J

Right now, I am busy searching the net for the most comprehensive and most reliable iPhone vs. N96 comparison/review. On the function side, it seems that the N96 wins. On the aesthetic side, however, the iPhone wins big time.

What do you think? I’m now having a hard time deciding. I think I must make a decision now before the husband changes his mind. J

OPM Legends

For those who are still searching for the perfect gift for your parent/in-laws, you might be interested in getting what I’ve got for mine. Sometimes, it becomes very difficult to think of the best gift to give to the people who have almost everything.

I got them tickets for the OPM Legends Concert. It will be on 30 December 2008. Who will be there? The legends themselves – Rico J. Puno, Nonoy Zuniga, Rey Valera, Claire dela Fuente, Eva Eugenio and Joey Albert.

Good thing, buying online has made shopping for gifts easy for us. I got the tickets through Ticketworld.

Internet Explorer Problem

Have you heard of the news about the Internet Explorer problem?

I read that the flaw is now the cause of many security-related problems. Imagine your password getting known by somebody else- hackers, that is. Right now, the same is said to be used widely in hacking passwords for games. Oh my.. Time to change?

This is actually a cause of alarm for me because I’ve been using Internet Explorer since last year. That’s simply because other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox did not run properly with Windows Vista. Haven’t changed my browser since then.

Blog Search - Reconnecting

I am now trying to reconnect with my old blog buddies in my previous blog. I hope I could still link up with them. Honestly, I am not after the back links. In a way, I was able to take a glimpse of their lives. I, on my part, was able to share with them a few experiences.

Sometimes, one doesn’t have to leave a comment on one’s blog. Seeing their faces on the blog log alone would give you the feeling that somebody checked on what’s going on with you and your life. I also take a hop on their blogs because I know that every post would be able to help me learn a new thing or learn a lesson in life.

Miss ya all, guys!

Pajamas

I regret having worn pajamas to sleep last night.

I heard over the radio that last night until early morning, Metro Manila hit the lowest in the temperature scale this season. So sad that I was not able to really feel it. :) Well, it just goes to prove that my set of pajamas is really a good stuff to wear to beat the cold weather (or aircon maybe).

Christmas Gifts

9 days before Christmas and we have not done our Christmas shopping yet.

My husband and I planned on going to the World Trade Center bazaar last weekend. We, however, called it off because we both felt that our bodies would like to recharge. Talk about a stressful week that had just ended.

Anyway, we’re now thinking of the best gifts that we could give to our parents. We failed to give our parents their presents during our wedding so we would like to give them special gifts this time. It’s just so hard to think of the best things to give to them.

I am also secretly thinking of the gift that I could give to my husband. I know that if I ask if what he wants, he would just tell me not to give him anymore and just buy something for myself. I, however, want to give him a Christmas present.

Christmas is really giving me a lot of things to think about and ponder on.

A Special Christmas

Today is December 16. It’s officially the start of our 9 days of Christmas.

This Christmas is very special to me because it is the first one that my husband and I will celebrate together.

Since our work would not allow us to attend the traditional dawn mass, my husband and I attended the anticipated mass last night. I was happy to see that a lot of people still observe this tradition. All of the pews and the extra chairs were filled up. It was heart warming.

I know that there are some who would like to complete the nine-day novena masses because of their special intentions. Whatever those intentions may be, I am one in praying with them. We all know how difficult life is today. And for others, life is made even more difficult because of the trials that they have to go through.

When our pockets would not allow us to extend the help that we are more than willing to give, the best that we could offer is our prayers. Let us make our lives meaningful by trying to help others in our own little ways.

Sen. Mar Roxas - No Apologies

In the news this morning, I was able to catch Sen. Mar Roxas say that no apology- a public one at that- can be expected from him.

As you may know, this issue came from last Friday’s Anti- Charter Change rally where Roxas was said to have uttered not-so-good words. To him, the utterance was a mere expression of how the Filipino people truly feel about the Charter Change thing. Kudos to him for speaking for the Filipino people. I am just hoping against hope that the same was not merely for the pogi points that this could earn him for the Presidential race come 2010.

Rainy December

For us who have not experienced snow, the rainy days of December would at least give us the chilly Christmas feel wihtout having to go to the places offering a few minutes of falling artificial snow.

On our way to work today, I realized that the rally against Charter Change is scheduled to be staged today. I just hope the weather would cooperate with the participants.

Oh, by the way, have you done your Christmas shopping already? I hope you could suggest the best places where I could find really nice yet affordable stuff.

Now A Wife

I guess the blog title says it all.

After almost 30 years of singlehood, I am now a wife. After more than a year of wedding preparations, I am now married to a wonderful man.
